Hollinger in Antarctica

To take part in this exciting opportunity I responed to an advertisement I saw in Geographical Magazine.  I filled in an application form and was shortlisted along with eight other candidates to attend a gruelling three day selection event in the Peak District in April 2006.  The selection event consisted of a formal interview, team building activities, a proposal for a science project I would conduct while in Antarctica, a sleep deprivation exercise and an assessment of my overall general fitness.  I was one of the lucky four to be selected.
